Spent a morning at the Insectarium while in N.O. and had fun with some bugs and Auntie CC.

Christmas Train

Tonight was fantastic and magical. We rode this Christmas train in Santa Cruz. It was all lit with pretty lights and Santa even got on board and visited with us! There was spiced cider and lots of singing too. And even snow falling outside the train. Wow. We went with a few of Cameron's dance class pals, Sofia, Mikaela and Sarah. I had fun with them too. Afterwards, we played games at the arcade and got lots of tickets. I exchanged them for dinosaurs and airplanes. Cameron got a pencil set and some tops. The pencil set only came as a princess theme, so he deciding which of his friends he should give it to....

Xmas Party

Guess what I got in the Secret Santa? It was from Bella...I got a scooter with 3 wheels. Awesome. Mom let me scoot around in the house....cuz I actually have no idea how to ride a scooter. My idea of scooter riding is having Cameron pull me around in it. I even got the knee pads and elbow pads....and I think I'm going to need them.

3 Year stats

Yay, no shots this time! Phew! I weighed in at 33 pounds....though...the nurse was way off...there's no way I'm 33 pounds...more like 28 on the scale at home. I'm also 35 inches tall! Still a shorty. I passed my hearing test by listening carefully to the beeps in the headset and putting a block in the basket when I heard something. The nurse was very impressed b/c she said she's never had a 3 year old do the blocks. She wanted me to raise my hand when I heard a beep, but the block thing is much easier.

Gingerbread

We built our gingerbread house! And used all the candy from Halloween....so much candy that the roof is sinking a little....but the whole house is filled with a yummy gingerbread smell. Mmmmm.....

Party for me!

Luckily, I got better just in time for my party! Barely.

Had so much fun at the party. It was awesome, and the presents...more train stuff...ah, just like in my dreams! Mom and Dad weren't sure if I was going to be ready for the party....but I was! Train party? I wouldn't miss it. Check out new pictures on my 37th month.

Feeling better

Finally feeling better! The last two nights I have been sleeping pretty soundly...errr...the only thing bugging me at night was MOM. She would jump out of Cameron's old bed and say, "water? drink water" if I coughed a little (okay, a lot) or she would keep feeling my forhead and sticking that temperature thing in my ear. Enough with the beeping. Ha ha. Anyhow, feeling good or atleast much better. Even started being my silly self again. And back to talking up a storm! Ready for my party!

Oh, and yes, Cameron is now sleeping in my old room. We were making too much noise and keeping each other awake at night. Now we go to bed in a more timely manner, since now we have no one to bother.

Happy Birthday to me!!!!

Happy 3rd birthday to me! Yup, I finally turned 3! You'd think I'd be happy and all, but I'm a sick little man. The ped said I have pneumonia! Yikes! I had a fever that started on Sunday night, then Tuesday afternoon, I was breathing funny. Like pausing. So mom took me to the ped and he gave me antibiotics (which I have to take, but mixed with yogurt or ice cream it's tolerable). Anyhow, I think it's day 3 and I'm feeling better, definitly no fever. At first, my cough was more like a bark, but now just a cough. I haven't been talking much either. And very clingy to Mommy. I don't usually eat much, though I ask for a billion different things. Although, when Paw Paw made crab and noodles, I ate a lot of crab! Yum, thanks Paw Paw!

And I got a few train things for my bday which is super cool. :) I'm a happy camper when there's trains involved.

Teeth time

Went to the dentist and saw Dr K. I was very good in the big chair and didn't cry or squirm. I guess I could work on opening my mouth bigger. Mommy was laughing when I was "eating" the chocolate flavored toothpaste. Yeah, I was trying to chew it. Dr. K said no more chocolate toothpaste....it tastes too good! But my teeth are fine. She said I have lots of good spacing and big molars. Is that good?

Parent Teacher Conferences

So yeah, Mom had "the meeting" with my teachers...and it went well! Yoohoo! Basically, they said I've adjusted well. Since remember before? I didn't like it much. Well, now I play with my friends, mostly Jessica. And participate in class though I'm not super talkative and chatty. When I leave class, my friends all turn and yell, "bye bye!" And my teacher said...I'm very popular now. Funny huh?

Fall Festival

We went to Connor's house for a fall festival celebration. Connor has the best train table I've ever seen....and I spent almost the entire party around that table. The only time I left was to go and eat popcorn. Yeah.

This was my first time to Pump it up...and I don't like jumpy houses...but you probably already knew that. At first, I was hanging on to Mommy so tight! But after a while, I started to have a little fun. Just not in the jumpy houses. They are too scary! ( I went with Cameron to his classmate's birthday party....I love cake!)

Halloween Parade

We had our Halloween parade at school. It was pretty fun and we got a lot of treats. I wasn't really sure what all the trick-or-treating is about, but once I got a bunch of stuff, I was pretty happy. Can't wait for the REAL t-0-t'ing tomorrow night! Yeah!

Vaccinations

Got my flu shot last week, no crying. And then the H1N1...crying after...when I saw Cameron going bananas. Mom hopes I don't get as bad as Cameron when it comes to getting shots. We'll see. I'm a tough guy, right?

The Cow Train

I can name names, you know?

Finally, I know the names of some of my classmates. (or maybe I only just started sharing with Mommy and Daddy). Yesterday, when I left class (I have to get picked up before school actually ends b/c we have to pick Cameron up from Kindergarten and our classes end at almost the same time), a girl waved and yelled goodbye to me. When I got outside, Mommy asked me...who was that? I said...Jessica. And the other day, I told Mommy I played with Mia. Mommy is happy that I am making friends at school and playing on the play structure. I wasn't for a few weeks...(I would hold the Ms C's hand during recess).

I'm a great big vegetable eater

Mommy and Daddy are so surprised....I love me some choy-choy! I love spinach and broccoli. And the baby tomatoes (orange and red ones) are so so good too. They are super sweet. I must've eaten over a dozen baby tomatoes at lunch today. And I like salad, but usually with a lot of dressing. Pretty much any kind of choy-choy is good. Avocado is another favorite...I could almost eat a whole one...almost. :)

Side note. Preschool was no problem today...no crying! Yay for me. And also have to add that I was dry too!

Preschool Trauma

Oh yeah....I remember what happened....when Daddy was late to pick me up. And now...I don't like school....and I cry for practically no reason. Last week, Daddy said he was going to pick me up...was late...and even though I didn't cry at the time, I remember. I tell Mommy I don't want to go to school and I don't want to wait a long long long long time. So long. Last Friday, I cried at school during recess. Told the teacher that I wanted Mommy. Then today, cried when I had to go pee pee. The teacher knew something was up and asked me if I had to go, so we went. Mommy always picks me up early (cuz she has to go get Cameron right after). Mommy hopes I forget soon and get back into the groove of school.

On a good note...I am potty trained! Okay, well not nap or bedtime trained, but daytime trained. I now tell Mommy when I have to go, and I even go poo poo. I'm okay with big potties that aren't at home....as long as they don't flush while I'm on them! Sometimes I use cups. But it's been good! Yay for me!

Almost there

So I'm almost all potty trained! Well, I'm not sleep-time trained yet, but working on that one. My nap diapers are usually dry, and last night, my night diaper was completely dry!!!!!! Yes it was! Mommy was thrilled. For daytime, I haven't had any accidents for several days. Mom still has to ask me sometimes and she'll take me just because. But, I have been telling Mommy that I have to go pee pee and sometimes I grab my underpants and then Mommy or Daddy (or Auntie CC when she was here) knew that it was time. I can usually hold it for about 2 hours. But if I have lots to drink in a short period of time, I could go 6 times in the next hour! I don't really like using the big potties when we are out....they flush all by themselves and that is scary! I am okay with a cup tho, so Mommy carries those with her everywhere.

The past few days, I've been reluctant to go to school. Mostly it's right when I wake up, I'll say that I don't want to go. But, by the time I've eaten and dressed and see Cameron go off to school, I'm ready and willing.

Auntie CC came to visit us over the long weekend and then some. It was super fun and we miss her already. I kept asking Mommy where she was. We rode two trains over the weekend. How awesome is that? And we ate really yummy food too. Auntie got me a thomas sticker book that I am totally crazy over. And thomas dvds. I love watching trains. Anything trains is wonderful!

Our schedule is busy now (okay, maybe not mine so much, but I still have to tag along...). A typical day....
7am wakeup, eat, get dressed, brush teeth
805 Cameron leaves for school
820 I leave for school
1215 We are home, eating lunch
1 nap
330 get up
430 go to dance class
6 get home, have dinner
8 shower
845 bed

Sometimes, Cameron doesn't have dance (that's two days a week) so we just play outside. But we are pretty busy now! And we like to wake up at 7 on the weekends too!

All dry at preschool

So my first day of preschool was filled with accidents...potty accidents. But my second day of preschool....was DRY!!!! Yay! And I even went potty on the potty's at school...twice! Aren't you proud? Well, Mommy was. She took me to the mall to ride a few rides and then got me a balloon! Not sure if it will happen again, but I know I can try. Yay for me. Mostly, I don't have any accidents anymore, maybe one if I don't make it to the potty on time. My diaper is also mostly dry for nap time! Yay. And when I wake up in the morning, I go on the potty, LOTS! Not perfect yet, but getting better at it.

Potty Update

So potty training is going pretty well. Mom is like a crazy person. She asks me if I have to go pee every 10 minutes....oh, my bad...cuz even then, I still had some accidents. But each days I have fewer and fewer accidents and I can hold it longer. I haven't gotten to the point where I tell Mommy I have to pee. I might have done it one time. But pooping is better. I tell Mommy and then I do it! Easy peasy. And my naptime diapers are practically dry, and my night diapers aren't as heavy as they used to be. Good job to me! We haven't been going very far from home these past few days b/c Mom is afraid we won't find a potty in time. Hopefully, soon, I'll have it down pat!

Overnight update: So I woke up this morning and my diaper was almost dry...and right away I told Mommy I needed to go pee pee. And boy did I! Usually, I wake up and my diaper weighs a pound!!! But this morning, it was basically dry, but Mommy could tell that I must have tinkled. Then shortly after peeing.....I told Mommy I had to poop. And I did! Yay!!!!!! Good for me. Oh, but then I did have a very small accident right later. I think I start to go...and then I realize that I'm not wearing a diaper, so I stop. I tell Mommy, and then I finish in the potty. Still learning I am. :)

I want to wear underpants!

Really? You do? , said Mommy. She wasn't ready ( and maybe I'm not either), but I decided yesterday to wear underpants. I wore diapers for nap and bedtime, but during the day and afternoon, I wore undies. I did great in the morning, no accidents. But in the evening, I had two accidents. It probably wasn't a good idea that we were out. Anyhow, staying in for the next few....Mommy is reminding me like every 5 minutes....oh wait, just had an accident....

Touch a Truck Day!

Today was Touch a Truck day....so that is what we did. We saw big trucks...all kinds, dump trucks, garbage trucks, fire trucks, cement trucks, police cars, police boats, 18 wheelers...all kinds. It was pretty cool!

Well, you know what I did today? I went #2 on the potty all by myself. Yup Yup. I told Mommy I had to go and we went to the potty. It was pretty cool! I am actually not potty training yet, though Mom will sometimes put me on the potty before showering to do #1. Aren't you proud of me? (I was so very proud of myself!)

Other news....Jenna and Lindsay came up to Seattle with Daddy. I was so happy that Daddy came. He brought my doggy and my ipod. I had been asking about doggy for a long time now. I haven't seen Dad for a while, but now he's here with us!

Jenna and Lindsay are pretty fun too. We just play and play all day. I went to the beach with Lindsay, while Jenna and Cameron went out on the boat with GG to pick up the crabs from the crab trap. We actually went twice today. And both times I got pretty wet. I walk into the water (freezing cold water) past my knees! Brrr. But I have so much fun. Oh, and sometimes, I'll sit in the water too. I had to take two showers already!

Where's Vancouver

So this is what I said today...(yes, sorta talking to myself)
"Where's Vancouver? I don't know. California? San Francisco? I don't know where's Vancouver?"

Well, cuz PP and GG went to Vancouver to eat good food and Cameron was worried about them. I was trying to talk to him and reassure him. I kept telling him that after lunch, GG would be back. Oh, but he wasn't.
