Virus attacks family, 4 injured

Two weeks ago, Cameron fell victim to the nasty virus. First fever, then mouth sores. Unable to eat, Cameron was, to say the least, irritable. After almost a week of pain and lots of crying, Cameron recovered. Next, me. I couldn't understand my suffering like Cameron could, so I needed constant comforting from Mommy. I've barely eaten, and my fondness of food has not returned. Though I've recovered from the virus, I am not my normal self. I've developed severe separation anxiety and need to be carried by Mommy all day. I won't even let her cook or get a drink in the kitchen. Just as Cameron and I were getting better....Mommy and Daddy caught it. They aren't crying, but I know it hurts them too. Hopefully, they'll get better soon. Watch out for the virus, it could be in your house next!

Lovin' the sandbox

I think I could live in the sandbox. I can play in there forever and ever. Sand is the best, but I get it all over the place. I was fully dressed...but to Mom's surprise, I was able to get a lot of sand in my diaper! Still don't have proper sandbox etiquitte, but I'll get there! Cameron and I have been enjoying this wonderful weather. It's been great all weekend!

My 15th Month Stats

Finally making it onto the chart! I'm 20lbs 12oz! And I think I'm 29 3/4 inches tall (Mommy can't remember exactly) and maybe my head is 48 cms. Yay! I got a shot today, and only cried a little. Once Mommy picked me up, I was okay.

I love "singing" chinese songs with Cameron. We usually sing in the car. I'm pretty good at it. You'd be surprised, since I can't really talk yet. Sometimes you'll catch me waving my hands in the air too. I'm copying Cameron's hand motions (for some songs, Cameron has a whole routine he learned at school). Another fun thing I've been doing is circles...crawling circles, like spinning. I laugh at myself it's so funny. And when I laugh, I scrunch my face up and laugh silly.

Yes, for real!

I'm really walking. Okay, so I look pretty stiff and fall often, but I'm doing it. Mommy, Daddy, and Cameron are so proud of me. (Don't worry, I'm still crawling)

I love Trader Joes....because everytime we go, I get a balloon. And I LOVE balloons. I'm completely mesmerized by them and can play all day with them. And I love strawberries, which are coming into stores now. I can eat almost an entire box by myself. Mommy taught me to sign please yesterday...though I'm only doing it by request (and Mommy has to remind me to "rub" my "tummy"). So I can do "more please"....sometimes. :) Another one I do is eat (I just put my fingers to my mouth repeatedly) And Mommy tried to teach me to say "ba ba" for balloon....and I did do it. Just a few times. I forgot by the time Daddy got home. Playing with my brother is pretty fun, except for when he takes things from me. I do love following him around and playing with all his toys. Big brother takes pretty good care of me. Helps me walk, brings me toys when I cry, feeds me if Mommy is busy, and tells me..."it's okay, don't cry". Love my big brother!

Okay, so it's not a strut...yet....

I'm walking!

Yes, you heard it here first. I'm taking lots of steps. I still like to crawl (I'm a fast crawler) But walking is super fun. I've been standing up and taking a few steps for several days now, but I'm finally making it more than just a few steps. I can almost make it across the room without falling, though I will just get up and continue again. I especially like to play ball with Mom while standing and walking. I can throw the ball while standing, and then I'll walk a few steps to get the ball from Mommy. Makes for good practice, huh?

Happy Birthday Gung Gung!

Last week, I went to Sedona to celebrate Gung Gung's birthday. We had fun. I've been practicing and practicing standing up without help. I'll try over and over again...I'm pretty determined. But I usually laugh so hard that I fall down. :) I know, I'm silly. And I've taken a few steps here and there, but again, the laughing always messes me up. You should see how hard my toes are working to grip the ground. They're like claws! :) Silly me.

Another new thing I've been doing is shaking my head. Mom even thinks sometimes I say no no. And when I don't want to do something, I will not do it. I can get a temper....just don't mess with me. :)

Oh yeah, we had rattlesnake and cactus fries in Sedona. Crazy!

I can stand!

I've be doing a lot of standing up lately. It's great. Sometimes I get so excited that I throw my arms up in the air...and then lose my balance and fall down. My toes have been working extra hard lately...gripping the ground. :0 I can do it like 10 times in a row. Then I get tired. I'm still fond of crawling though.

Other things. I'm doing a lot of jibberish talking. Mostly da da da deee....and them ma ma ma. dee. I can throw the ball (or a plastic orange or plastic head of lettuce) very well. Mom says my aim is pretty good and Cameron and I can play ball together. He can get a little wild though and lose focus. But we play ball all the time. It's one of my favorites. That and trying to climb on the furniture. :)
