First Airplane ride

I went on my first airplane ride! Mommy and Daddy and Cameron and I flew to Seattle to visit Paw Paw and Gung Gung. We'll be staying with them for a while. I think it will be fun.

Formula time

These days, I'm doing some feedings with Mommy's milk, and some feedings with Enfamil. It's the same to me, they just have to be warmed up. Otherwise, I'll scream. :) I drink 7-8 ounces 5 times a day. That's a lot. The other day, Mommy gave me some turkey (baby food) and I ate it up. Yummo! I'm still loving peas and my veggies. I like sweet potato and corn too. Mommy's been giving me some prunes too, to help my tummy. It works like a charm now. I'm a better eater, cuz now I open my mouth more. Just keep spooning it in. I don't have any desire to feed myself, so I guess I'm not like big brother Cameron.

I'm also a great sitter. I don't fall back as much. I'm also good at "spinning around" on my tummy. I can scoot and twist myself to move. It's not crawling, but I do move a few feet. Mommy also thinks that I'm heavier now that I've been drinking a ton of milk.

My cousins Lindsay and Jenna will be moving into town soon, so I'm really excited. I know Cameron is jumping for joy!

Update: I'm now drinking 5 bottles a day, at about 6 ounces each. I guess when I started drinking from the bottle, I was really hungry, but now I've settled into my routing and it's about 6 oz. (8/2/07)

I quit I quit I quit

I quit nursing! Mommy just wasn't serving it up in a timely fashion, so I had to give her the boot. I've taken to the bottle now, and it's great. A nice constant, steady flow of milk. Mommy's trying to pump for me, but I don't know how long she's going to last. It's a lot of work for her. We still have some adjusting to do, since Mommy has no idea what to do with bottles....And she doesn't seem to know a thing about formula. Oh dear!

And, I'm sleeping through the night! From 9pm til around 7 in the morning. At 7ish, I have a bottle, and then sometimes I'll go back to sleep. My bedtime routine has changed too, so I'll know that I'm supposed to fall asleep on my own. Now, I get a bath, a book (we read together on the floor), and bottle, and then a little song. Then Mommy puts me in my bed. I might cry a little, but each day, it's less and less. This was the 3rd time Mommy and Daddy have tried to "train" me, and it's working!

All better

I'm all better now! Yay! My skin is back to normal, and so am I. We started sleep training again, and it has been going great. The 3rd night I barely made a peep....but we'll see about the 4th night. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of me. Let's see...what else? I'm a great sitter now, hardly ever fall over anymore. And I'm getting better and better at eating. I really loves peas, did I tell you? And I eat sweet potatoes and corn, plums (from our backyard), prunes, applesauce, pears, and more. Yum yum.

teething or this ambiguous "virus"?

Was it teething? Maybe, maybe not. Now I have this ridiculous looking red splotchy rash over my face and most of my trunk. Great. Luckily, it's not itchy. But I've been pretty cranky and tired and not all that hungry. Definitely not nursing all that well. And not sleeping well. And now I look funny...Mommy'll have to get a pic of me. They say (the ped) it's a virus...very open, that term. Oh well, guess I'll just have to stay home with Cameron - he's potty training, you know. And so we stay home a lot.

Warning....it looks worse than it is.  But don't worry, I'm OK!

Teething...

makes me very cranky. I also have a fever. I'm not sleeping well at all. Mommy is tired. But I still enjoy watching Cameron play. PS. I'm 7 months old!
