Mmm....Plums!

Our plums are ready for eating! They are falling off our tree. It's only been a few days, but we cannot eat them fast enough. So super sweet and delicious. I love them. And I somehow eat them straight off of the tree...and get super duper sticky. But oooh, it's so good.

Checkup 18 months

I had my checkup today with the doc. I'm doing good. I'm 22 pounds 2 oz. I don't remember my height, but it's around the 20th %ile. And my head is about the 75th %ile. Looks like my stats are pretty similar to brother's. (only his head was like 90th %ile!) I got two shots too...but I didn't cry. I was distracted by this animal book...and then I felt something in my leg...and gave the nurse a funny look. Back to the book...another something on my leg...and another funny look to the nurse. What was that lady?? The doc asked if I was putting two words together...ha...that's funny. I'm so not.

"eee eee" for eat eat. I usually say this while standing next to my high chair. Oh, another fun fact about me. I don't like my food mixed up. If I'm going to eat rice, it's gotta just be rice. Not rice with chicken. Not pasta with big bits of tomatoes. Just pasta. Just tofu. Or carrots, just carrots. I don't even like the "other" food on my high chair tray or the plate. Gotta be on the big table. Same with my milk bottle. When I need a drink, I'll move my plate and fork onto the big table, then drink my milk. Funny, huh?

Gymboree

I started Gymboree this week. It was fun climbing all over the place and going down slides and all. But, I was super afraid of parachute time. I cried and ran away. It's pretty scary that thing. Otherwise, I had a great time and I like it.

Let's see...other cool stuff I can do....

When I sleep, I have my "music" playing...the white noise...so when I go "night night", Mommy or Daddy will say, "go turn on your music" and I toddle off to turn it on! All by myself! I also love turning off the light. In the morning, Mommy or Daddy will ask me to turn off the "music" and I do it with a wacky smile. Also in the mornings, I'll hand over my binky and water bottle. I know the drill.

Fay-jee. Airplane. Whenever I hear one or see one in the sky, I'll say "fay-jee"...kinda sorta. And I'll say wo wo for doggy (although sometimes I say mao mao instead). My bad.

I've been pretty friendly these days, when we go for a walk around the block, and I see an open garage....(I'm thinking there are people in there, right?) I'll wave and say "hi"....but usually, no one is there.

Body parts

Today, I showed Mommy that I know most of my body parts...you know, the important ones. Eyes, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, hair, head, hands, feet, toes and tummy. Pretty cool, huh?

Kids Museum

Oh yeah. Mommy took me to the Children's museum today with Bella and Auntie Lydia. It was my first "real" time there. I've been before, but I was really little. This time was amazing. I had so much fun. Running thru the tunnel and pushing the light button, putting the balls on that funnel, playing with the sand, stacking blocks, reading books and having "tea" with Bella. We even had lunch there...which I gobbled up! I was so pooped, that before Mommy even drove out of the parking lot...I was passed out! Phew!

Night Night

Usually, Mommy washes our lunch dishes right after...and its then that I start getting really cranky (tired). So I'll start nagging at Mommy's leg....whining and pulling and tugging on her. Until finally (she really wants to finish), she says, "Brendan, you want to go night-night? If you want to go night-night, go to your room and Mommy will be right there". I'll say, "nie nie". And so, I stop nagging Mommy and toddle off towards my room. Once there, I'll turn on my "music" (white noise) and maybe even change the music until I find the Gentle Stream one again. Mommy will put me to bed with my blankie (Cameron's ABC pillowcase - I chose this myself) and Gigi, my giraffe. Off to sleep I go! Pretty cool, huh?

I've also become quite good at feeding myself. Daddy made me a new fork by bending them to make a handle and I love them. They make it easier for me. I eat well....when I feed myself, so Mommy is currently challenged to make foods that I can easily eat myself. :)
