gumball machine

My new trick!  I can pick up the balls (rollarounds) at the bottom, and then put them in the top.  I can do this over and over and over again.  I'm only sometimes pushing the lever that makes the ball go down the chute.  It's pretty fun.  Now that Mommy has taught me to "put in", I've been putting stuff in and on all over the place.   Like Cameron's Lego's on top of the box, and other blocks on top.  I'll post a picture soon!

gerber grads

I've been eating Gerber Graduates meals and love em.  They taste yummy!  I am way into chunky/more solid foods.  And so not into mushy purees!  Bleh!  I love eating Mommy's food...I've had fried rice, "law bak go", "char siu bao" and "cheurng fun".  Delish.  And today, I had 3 dumplings...well, just the meat on the inside and mmmmm....was that good or what?  I'm not even liking the soft pasta and purees that Mommy was making me.  Now I'm on to the good stuff.  :)  

Stairs...

Well, just two.  But I can climb into the dining area...and leave the playroom all by myself!  Scary, says Mommy.  I don't think I'll master going down yet (I've already rolled down and that wasn't fun).  I'm still doing the army crawl, but you can never underestimate it.  I'll scoot away before you know it.  

I'm also enjoying some table foods.  Mommy mixes it into my baby food and I'm loving it.  Things taste so much better with some salt in it!  Mommy even let me try some chocolate ice cream!!!  Yummo!  I've also had some mango, which I like very much.  My finger dexterity is getting much better too.  I'm pretty good at getting cheerios into my mouth now (though plenty end up on the floor too).  And if I had a choice, I'd just eat cheerios all day.  They are the best.  And I'm pretty good at drinking from my sippy cup.  Mom got me all these different sippy cups, and wouldn't you know, I like the one she got me first.  I still don't hold bottles.  In fact, I refuse.  Mommy sometimes will let go of the bottle if she sees me "holding" it....only then I'll let go too.  I like Mommy to hold my bottle for me.  

check up

I went for my checkup today.  I'm doing well.  But I'm not yet pulling to a stand...who knows though...it could happen any day now.  Here are my stats...

Head - 46cm around (~ 75%ile)

Height - 28 1/4 inches tall (~ 50%ile)

Weight - 18 lbs, 1 oz.  (<25%ile)

I guess I've kind of slowed down since I've been doing so much crawling.  Today, I even made it up the 2 little stairs we have!  First time!  Uh oh for Mommy...

9 months

I'm 9 months old now!  Can you believe it?  We went to see Pawpaw and Jenna and Lindsay and Uncle Chris and Auntie Susan.  I had lots of fun playing with Lindsay.  She's just my size.  Big brother Cameron had fun playing with Jenna.

Da da da da da

My new "word" is da da da da da da da or sometimes de or doo or duh.  I was doing ba ba ba ba boo boo for a couple of weeks, but I've changed my tune.  I love being home now because there are so many toys to play with.  And I scoot all over the playroom.  I love Cameron's old piano toy.   Playing music is fun.  

I went to take professional pictures with my pals Connor, Bella, and Logan.  It was quite an adventure.  Of course, we don't smile all at the same time or even look the same direction at the same time!  You should have seen Mommy and all the Aunties dancing around.  :)
