Seattle 2010

Spent two weeks in Seattle with Mom, Cameron, Paw Paw and Gung Gung. Dad came up for one week and we went to Vancouver for a few days too. I went kayaking with Mom, (C with Dad) and that was super fun, but Mom kept telling me to open my hands (I had super tight fists)...I guess I was nervous. Also, loved playing on the beach in front of the house, digging for clams (even though at first I didn't enjoy walking in the mud and getting all dirty), and fishing at the other beach. I did reel in some big fish, even this flat fish that we had for dinner that night! The water is super cold, but Cameron and I had a blast playing in it. We only played for a little bit though...my lips would turn blue!

Vancouver was fun too. We rode bikes around Stanley Park one day, explored Granville Island, and ate some really good food! The day we went the Granville Island, the weather got really really cool, but we just had to play in the water park!

Check out pictures of us on vacation on 45th (b) and 75th months (c).

Here's a video clip of me doing some fishing!

The Wees Sleep-over!

Yeah! Connor and Lucas came (with their parents, of course) to stay over with me! It was good fun. Even though Connor and I have known each other for our whole lives, I haven't really played with him one on one. We're usually at a birthday party where there are lots of kids running around. But this time, it was just us two, so we happily played with trains. And we really conversed with each other! It was nice having friends around.

In the morning we went to the park near our house to play. Fun! I sat in the bike trailer with Connor and Daddy rode the bike. Lucas was in another bike seat with Uncle Ken. It was a busy day today and I'm quite pooped. (Mommy had a fun girl's day with the other Mom's.....)

Here we are making a big mess of the playroom. Lucas, Connor and me!

Tomorrow? Off to Seattle with Mommy!

Yick it? Means look at! Ha ha!

Trike-riding *plus new update!

So I finally learned how to ride my trike properly. I've been so lazy up until now...I had Mom or Dad push me in it for a long time! Oh, and for a while I was riding my 3 wheeled scooter. I'm pretty good at that for sure. I learned to do the trike from school. My trike is a little different than the ones at school, I think those are easier.
Today, I rode all the way around the block! Yes, it's quite far actually.

I really like riding downhill...and then I have to drag my bike back in. Mom stands at the end of the driveway to catch me.

UPDATE: Day 2 or is it Day 3?(Aug 3)...I can ride the bike now, with training wheels!!!!

Though I spend a lot of time looking down at my feet...

Trying to keep an eye on the road ahead.

And...soon to run into the grass...oops!

Oh, and I've been weaned off my night water bottle. Yup, no more water at night. I did this once before, but then I got sick and was coughing a lot, so Mom gave the water back to me. But this time, for sure...no more water! I sleep with my dog (I call her baby cat because I'm really trying to convince Mom that I need a cat), though sometimes I talk too much with baby cat and Mom has to take him away. If I don't make any noise the next night, I'll get her back. Mom and Dad are happy that I'm not chatting away with baby cat so much anymore. That baby cat used to keep me up all night!

The next thing I need to tackle is night potty training!

Happy Birthday E!

We went to a birthday party today. It was the 1st birthday of E, she's the daughter of one of Mommy's college friends. (It was pretty cool, I actually remembered her name later that day - hey, I'd never met her before and I'm not very good with names). The party was at My Gym, and it was super fun! I loved it!

Here's Auntie Michelle, E, Mommy and me!

I discovered the water fountain...very cool

Jumping super high (with Mommy's help). I was even doing a few split jumps. Cool, huh?

A series of photos of me doing my super silly stuff....

Preparing ourselves for what was to come.

Zipline! Wheeeeeeeee!

Happy Hollow adventures

So, Mom took me to Happy Hollow earlier in the week...and because I had the most amazing time...she took me again with Daddy on Saturday. The key is to go right at opening and you've got at least 1.5 hours without crazy crowds.

I LOVED the roller coaster. That's right, I'm a thrill seeker!

At first, I didn't know how to jump from platform to platform...but I quickly learned after several test runs with Mom's help.

Balancing

Jumping down steps

Nice goat

Looks like I'm running away from bees...but I'm really just trying to get to the next animal as fast as I can.

Baby Jaguar, are you there?

Multi-story slide. So fun. I did this maybe 10 times...crazy me!

This one is twisty. Also good fun!

Again, off running to the next thing

Can you see me? I'm at the back, huddled into Daddy's side

See me?

I looked scared, but I rode it twice in a row, and asked to go again later...but the line was super long. Bummer, huh?

Auntie Amy gets married!

This weekend was a blast. First, Paw Paw and Gung Gung came up (finally) and Paw Paw took me on a long-awaited train ride! Thanks Paw Paw! Then we all went to Auntie Amy and Uncle Jason's wedding. All of Gung Gung's brothers and sisters were there too! We had a mini family reunion on Sunday too.
