You don't get me, I get you

When I "talk" no one understands me. It's usually a streaming "sentence" of "dah dah dah" or "yah yah yah's". The only signs I know are please and more. Sometimes I do eat too. I sure understand you though...well, some stuff. Like I'll go to where the drinks are in the cabinet, take one out and shake it for Mommy (this is me saying, fill her up). Then, Mommy will say, okay, you want a drink? Go get your cup and I'll fill it for you. (and I go get my cup). Then Mommy will say, close the cabinet please. (and I'll close it...both sides...really!) Other things I understand...."put back"...after the bath, Mommy says, "rinse the toys and give to Daddy" and I do. "Where's your balloon?...your cup?" I pretend not to understand "no", but Mommy is pretty sure I do.

And yes, I LOVE BALLOONS. Give me one and I can play happily for a while. I even like reading books with pictures of balloons in them. I know which book and which page has the balloons on them. Mommy doesn't like taking me to the grocery store because they always have balloon decorations, and I scream for them the whole time. I mean, give me one, there's a balloon on every turn, at every aisle, at every checkout. Just give me one! But we like going to Trader Joe's, cuz they give balloons and stickers!!! And Cameron always love the free snack and drink (the samples....)

I'm walking much better these days, hardly ever crawling. I do love climbing on things....like the couch, the fireplace (did you see Daddy's handiwork?), the coffee table, the train table...up up! I wander around the house all day. And Mommy plays catch me...:)

Mostly walking now

Or you could sometimes call it stumbling. I try to walk as much as I can. I'm getting pretty good at it, and wander around the house. When I was really sick with that nasty virus, I would RUN RUN RUN as fast I could to Mommy. I could sure bolt!

And I think I'm all better now. Still a bit clingy to Mommy though.

Virus attacks family, 4 injured

Two weeks ago, Cameron fell victim to the nasty virus. First fever, then mouth sores. Unable to eat, Cameron was, to say the least, irritable. After almost a week of pain and lots of crying, Cameron recovered. Next, me. I couldn't understand my suffering like Cameron could, so I needed constant comforting from Mommy. I've barely eaten, and my fondness of food has not returned. Though I've recovered from the virus, I am not my normal self. I've developed severe separation anxiety and need to be carried by Mommy all day. I won't even let her cook or get a drink in the kitchen. Just as Cameron and I were getting better....Mommy and Daddy caught it. They aren't crying, but I know it hurts them too. Hopefully, they'll get better soon. Watch out for the virus, it could be in your house next!

Lovin' the sandbox

I think I could live in the sandbox. I can play in there forever and ever. Sand is the best, but I get it all over the place. I was fully dressed...but to Mom's surprise, I was able to get a lot of sand in my diaper! Still don't have proper sandbox etiquitte, but I'll get there! Cameron and I have been enjoying this wonderful weather. It's been great all weekend!

*new pics of Sedona, Gung Gung's party and Lindsay's party can be found in 15th, 16th and Cameron's 46th month. Enjoy

My 15th Month Stats

Finally making it onto the chart! I'm 20lbs 12oz! And I think I'm 29 3/4 inches tall (Mommy can't remember exactly) and maybe my head is 48 cms. Yay! I got a shot today, and only cried a little. Once Mommy picked me up, I was okay.

I love "singing" chinese songs with Cameron. We usually sing in the car. I'm pretty good at it. You'd be surprised, since I can't really talk yet. Sometimes you'll catch me waving my hands in the air too. I'm copying Cameron's hand motions (for some songs, Cameron has a whole routine he learned at school). Another fun thing I've been doing is circles...crawling circles, like spinning. I laugh at myself it's so funny. And when I laugh, I scrunch my face up and laugh silly.

Yes, for real!

I'm really walking. Okay, so I look pretty stiff and fall often, but I'm doing it. Mommy, Daddy, and Cameron are so proud of me. (Don't worry, I'm still crawling)

I love Trader Joes....because everytime we go, I get a balloon. And I LOVE balloons. I'm completely mesmerized by them and can play all day with them. And I love strawberries, which are coming into stores now. I can eat almost an entire box by myself. Mommy taught me to sign please yesterday...though I'm only doing it by request (and Mommy has to remind me to "rub" my "tummy"). So I can do "more please"....sometimes. :) Another one I do is eat (I just put my fingers to my mouth repeatedly) And Mommy tried to teach me to say "ba ba" for balloon....and I did do it. Just a few times. I forgot by the time Daddy got home. Playing with my brother is pretty fun, except for when he takes things from me. I do love following him around and playing with all his toys. Big brother takes pretty good care of me. Helps me walk, brings me toys when I cry, feeds me if Mommy is busy, and tells me..."it's okay, don't cry". Love my big brother!

Struttin' my stuff

Okay, so it's not a strut...yet....
