On the way to Koblenz (from Traben-Trarbach), we saw a sign for Nurburgring....so we went thataway....We had a gps, but we didn't have an overview map, so we weren't even sure if we were going the opposite direction...but we went anyhow. Most of the place was closed, but the shops were open, so we had a look around.
The roller coaster was closed, but it looked awesome. I'd like it.
We opted for a friendly race!
Cameron won. It was kind of hard for me to control.
Then we were off to Koblenz for a quick ride in the cable car and a quick visit to the Festung Ehrenbreitstein. It was a pretty big place, but the best view was from the cable car.
Looking down on the Deutsches Eck!
A quick lunch of Currywurst mit pommes before we get back in the car and go to Koln.
Dad wanted us to jump....but only Mom took the bait...
In Koln, we stayed at another campingplatz, Camping Berger. It was just outside of town, so we drove to the nearby Park and Ride and took the streetcar into town. All car entering Koln proper need to have a special pass from the city, which we did not get. It was more convenient for us to take the streetcar anyways, and fun! Just 10 minutes and we were in the heart of the city. The Kolner Dom!
Lighting a candle.
We had dinner at the famous Fruh Am Dom. It's right across the street from the Dom. On the outside, people were standing and drinking their beer, talking to friends. It looked crazy crowded, but once we got inside, we easily found a seat and sat ourselves.
While waiting for out food...this couple unknowingly photo-bombed our game time photo....ha ha!
We're quite full. The portions are huge. Content.
