We wake up on Day 4 to a soggy campsite. The tent wasn't wet on the inside, but it rained hard overnight. The campsite has a restaurant that only serves food at night, so they let the guests use the dining room as a breakfast room. We made instant noodles and instant coffee with our campstove.

As soon as the bike rental store opened, we were there. Zweirad Wagner is the place. They even had a bike with speeds for me! I was ecstatic! We brought our own helmets, so we were set to go. It wasn't raining while we were getting our bikes...but as soon as we left the shop....it started pouring!
But, we'd already rented the bikes, so off we went! See the grapevines right there? The hillside on either side of the Mosel were covered with grapevines!
Cameron got hot, of course and had to remove his jackets. Luckily, about an hour after we started, it stopped raining. It was nice and cool, so the ride was easy.
We stopped in a small town called Losnich. Here we are at the bakery enjoying some sweet treats.
I was quite happy to have a bike in my size with speeds! It made going up those little hills so much easier. The path we took was actually quite flat and the ride was smooth and easy.

We were almost to Bernkastel and Mom wants to stop. Here is the Dr. Loosen Winery. Mom likes their wine. Such a nice looking house.
We weren't able to go in because you have to make an appointment. Bummer!

Instead of riding back to Traben-Trarbach, we took the ferry. It's 25 kms, so it's not a short trek. It took us several hours to ride there, and then a couple hours on the ferry. It takes so long on the ferry because we have to pass thru a lock and it takes forever. But riding back would have taken longer. Thank goodness for the ferry.
In Traben-Trarbach, this cute little gate at the end of the bridge! There's even a restaurant up there. We ate there the next night.
