SV Kids Tri 2014

4 laps (100m), 2 miles on bike and 1/2 mile running.  My age (7-8 year olds) is 2 bike miles shorter than Cameron's.  I finished in the middle...162 out of 315.  In 28 minutes, 14 seconds.  I had some trouble in transitions.  I was in such a hurry, I got my bike...without my helmet.  And then when I tried to put my helmet on...I still had my goggles on.  And then I also forgot my shirt (with my number)...but I had to take my helmet off to get it on...It was kind of crazy.  Basically, I forgot.  But I finished.  And it wasn't so bad.  Just hot.

Happy to have Fuzzy watching me.

Last sniff before I go...

And we're off!

So far so good...

Oops...I can never swim backstroke straight...

Done with swim, now onto bike...

Okay, I found my bike...

Hmm...did I forget something?

Did I forget anything else?  Oh, my shirt and number...

Finally, I'm ready.

Cameron's there!

Sprinting to the finish!

Finally!

If You Give a ....

Mom thought this was extra funny.....

Flat Brendan

In school, we did a little project called "Flat Brendan" with the help of Auntie CC.  If you've ever read the story of Flat Stanley, you'd know that it's about a kid who is flat and can get sent in the mail.  So that's exactly what "I" did.  Auntie CC sent me back along with some pictures.  We put those up on the board for the Open House at school.  Thanks Auntie CC!

Wearing some of the beads Auntie sent

I dressed myself in some fancy Christmas pants...

Here are some of the places Auntie CC took Flat Brendan

I wish I really had some beignets....

Mother's Day Tea at school!

My teacher hosts a Mother's Day Tea at school.  It's pretty nice.  We get to dress up too.

Mom was wearing a fancy dress and pearls

We made the scones in class, and then my teacher baked them at home.  We also made the tea sandwiches that morning.

I gave Mom the sandwich made by the teacher.  (I knew Mom would not prefer to eat a sandwich made by a kid...me, probably okay, but there are 3 other kids that made sandwiches too).

You know, too cool for school.

Hanging by the pool.

I've been going to swim lessons since mid-March....twice a week.  Mom's getting me ready for the triathlon in a few weeks.  I'm pretty much ready, but I've got to build up my endurance.

We get there a few minutes early...and I like to chillax

Post Spring Break

I told Mom that our trip was really good and that I had so many things I could write about in my journal at school.  I was sure I could write 3 pages....Mom suggested I start getting stuff down on paper before I forgot, so I tried my best.  I also got to play Skylanders Wii after, so it was pretty worth it.
