Road Trip!!!

While Cameron was away, Mom and Dad took me on a road trip....sorta.  We had to drive up Paw Paw and Gung Gung's van (with all their stuff) to Seattle so it would be there when we arrive in July.  It was a two day drive...I played video games in the car most of the way...:)  It was awesome.

Before checking into the hotel the first night, we stopped at the Wildlife Safari!  It's a drive thru safari and was pretty cool.  It took us about an hour 15 to get thru the entire thing.

Relaxing on the ferry

At the house, we had some power issues on the first night (basically no power...no hot water).  But the next morning, Dad got them to come and check it and found out one of the lines into the house wasn't working.

  They installed a temporary fix....and we were happy....

The next morning, we went on a hike to Ludlow Falls.  It's not far from the house, about 30 minutes, so not too bad.  And the hike is pretty short, about 1/2 mile.

This maple tree has the biggest leaves!  Some can grow to 12 inches wide!

I tripped, lost my shoe...and dropped poor Fuzzy!

On the way back, we stopped at a beach to throw some rocks!

We stopped in Poulsbo...and had this giant chocolate dipped ice cream.  It was so good.  But also so big.  I could not finish it.   Thankfully, Dad did.

This was the hole in the bushes by the green electrical box BEFORE...

This box started to smoke when Mom was heating up the leftover pizza in the toaster oven....

Of course, Mom called the power company and they came sorta quickly...couple of hours.  By then the smoke was gone and the power inside was turned off.  But they learned that none of the lines into the house was working....boo.  Bad news.

So, a mini digger came out...

And a flat bed truck...and another truck and two flaggers!

In one hour, power was restored and we were all so happy.  The trip ended pretty well.  Phew!  So glad to be home!
